Ecru is linen close to its natural colour, and this cloth has a strong slub that makes the texture part of the design. Brown buttons give the pale shirt definition, the front is left clean, and the emblem is embroidered tone on tone so you only see it up close. Black trousers, as photographed, make the contrast sharp; stone or olive keep it soft.
