Khaki is where this trouser came from, and the turn-up finishes it the way the original did. Buckled wrap waistband, deep double pleats, generous through the seat and thigh. Wears with a white shirt and brown suede and asks for nothing else.

The Gurkha regiments' service trouser
The buckled wrap waistband comes from the trousers worn by Gurkha soldiers, cut to hold a high rise in place through a long day without a belt. Tailors later took the design into civilian wardrobes, and it has never quite left. Ours keeps the two side buckles and the deep double pleats that give the thigh its room, and tapers the leg so it reads as tailoring rather than uniform.
